Material & Polymer Chemistry Lead-Free High-UV Formulation Designed for Extreme Climates
Not all uPVC profiles are manufactured for harsh ambient environments. In regions like Australia, the Middle East, and the Caribbean, low-grade PVC degrades rapidly under UV-A and UV-B exposure, resulting in surface chalking, yellowing, and brittleness.
At SAGA Aluminum Doors & Windows Co., Ltd., our uPVC profiles are extruded using specialized lead-free Calcium-Zinc (Ca/Zn) stabilized virgin compounds enriched with high rutile titanium dioxide (TiO2 > 9%):
- UV Stability: Certified under ISO 4892-2 accelerated weathering test for Class S severe climate exposure.
- Thermal Expansion Control: Isolated internal steel chambers minimize thermal expansion in high ambient temperature differentials.
- Fire Retardancy: Self-extinguishing material compliance under EN ISO 11925-2 flame retardancy testing.
- Acoustic Isolation: Multi-chambered internal dampening blocks low-frequency urban traffic and coastal wind noise up to STC 44 rating.
